Tiznit is about 95 kilometres south of Agadir, around 1 hour and 45 minutes away. Its old city has red walls, a compact medina, and a strong silver jewellery tradition. Stop for mint tea, pastries, or a short walk near Bab Ouled Jerrar.
Aglou Beach is about a 20-minute drive from Tiznit. This detour has a sandy beach, dunes, rocky hills, surfers, birds, and occasional paragliders. A 10 to 15-minute stop is enough for photos when time is limited. Look for signs to Aglou Plage because the faster route can bypass it.
Mirleft is about 20 kilometres north of Legzira and works well for lunch or a break. The town has beaches, clifftop cafés, and nearby views of the cove. Stop for mint tea, a short walk, or time on the sand. 30 to 60 minutes is common, though you can stay longer if the tide schedule permits.
Legzira is around 22 kilometres from Mirleft, or roughly 25 minutes by car. The paved R105 follows the coast through the most winding section. Expect steep drops and wide Atlantic views. Keep your speed low and use proper stopping places. After the Legzira sign, follow the dirt track towards the clifftop car park.
Your visit continues on foot after parking. Plan for the clifftop access, the short descent, and the tide before walking towards the arch.
Use the clifftop parking area above Legzira. A short unpaved track connects the main road with the parking area. Standard cars can usually use it when dry. A local attendant may collect a small parking fee. Do not drive onto the sand. Follow the walking path from the car park towards the beach.
The walk takes around 5 to 10 minutes. The route has sand, rock, and uneven steps, so trainers or sturdy sandals are best. You cannot drive to the shoreline. As you descend, the red cliffs come into view before the path reaches the flat sand.
Walk north from the beach access towards the remaining rock arch. It rises about 25 metres near the cliff base. At low tide, you can approach it and walk underneath.
Low tide exposes more sand, making the arch easier to reach. At high tide, water can cover much of the beach beside the cliffs. Check a tide chart before leaving Agadir. Aim to arrive 1 to 2 hours before low tide for more walking space and safer access to the arch.
Walk beneath the arch at low tide, explore smaller rock shapes, and photograph the orange-red sandstone. Late afternoon often brings warmer light. Bring a picnic or visit the small clifftop cafés and restaurants for tea, tagines, or grilled fish. Some visitors stay nearby overnight for more time.
Legzira faces west, so clear evenings can bring a memorable Atlantic sunset behind the arch. Rural roads can be dark, with pedestrians or unlit traffic. If night driving is uncomfortable, leave before darkness or stay in Mirleft or Sidi Ifni.
